Note from Sundara...Some of you may remember that this was a color I dyed in fingering silky merino, maybe two weeks ago? One of you asked me to dye it in a heavier gauge, which I, of course, said I would do, but then my contrarian nature somehow got the better of me and I dyed it in the finest base I have. (in my defense, the heavier gauges are all out of stock with the mill until late April, so I actually can't dye this color for her until then).
I decided to do this because I thought that, unlike the fingering silky merino, the lace would be fabulously variegated and look! I was totally right. Isn't it pretty? All that lovely ocean green and ocean blue? It's spectacular. It's going to knit up like that ephemeral nature of water, where depending on the light and where you look it might be blue, it might be green, or both at the same time. It'll be so pretty. And soft, because this yarn is maybe the softest yarn I have. And with the silk, it will get that glint of shine, like sunlight on water. Like I said, spectacular.
