Note from Sundara...After much futzing around, I think I've found a method of speckling yarn that I'm happy with. Or at least, let's say I've found a method I'm happy with. For now. I am a perfectionist, so there is a good chance I will keep futzing. But I'm super happy with this color. Look how pretty it is! And those speckles! And even better, I was able to get remarkable consistency between all the skeins I dyed. With the caveat that it is hand dyed yarn. And speckled. Which, I should point out, should be some strong caveats. But if you look at all the yarn together, it is most definitely the same color. Go me.

You all are probably a little cranky because sport weight is always the least popular gauge. Probably because there aren't a lot of patterns for sport weight yarn. But I found some good ones. "Beaufort 5" is a delicious cardigan by Isabel Kramer for anyone who wants to attempt a sweater. "Undulation" scarf/wrap by Jane Vanselous for the crocheters amongst us. Or for those of you who just want to watch the yarn run through their fingers because they love seeing the color as it comes, "Fly Fox Shawl" by Olga Fahim should suffice.

As an aside: as is the nature of speckled yarn, some of these skeins have multicolors in their speckles that are not shown in this photo. I'll match all orders for 2+ skeins as closely as I can.

"The Last Flowers of Fall" will not be dyed again. Three batches available. Yarn will ship next week.

Extra Fine Sport Merino is 328 yards and 100 grams of 100% super wash merino.
