Note from Sundara...Years ago, and I mean years and years, I dyed a color named Below the Ice using this inspiration photo and just last week I found a note on how I dyed the color. Now, I see this photo all the time and for years have wanted to dye it again, but didn't think I had written down how I dyed it. So that was a fun little artifact to come across. And then I decided to make it fun for all of us and see how it would look if I used the two colors and speckled the yarn instead of dyeing it my normal way. What do you think?

I'm pretty happy with it. It feels very below the ice-ish. With some polar bear. All marine greens and blues.I thought I'd see how we'd feel about doing a sort-of solid coordinating color to go along with it, for those of you who are maybe thinking about a project that might need a coordinating solid-er color to go along with some speckled yarn, so I dyed up a few skeins in a somewhat solid sort of color. It's been dyed to go with the speckled skeins rather than the inspiration photo. Just so you know. Anyway. Let me know what you think. Or just buy the yarn cause that will tell me you like it!

"Below the Ice" will not be dyed again. One and a half batches of the speckled available. A half batch of the somewhat solid available. Yarn will ship next week.
