Fig Me

Note from Sundara...Let's talk about sweaters. I always think January is the best time to knit a sweater. Because, let's be realistic. It takes forever to knit a sweater, even if you are super fast, you might want to take a break and knit something else. Just to break up those sleeves, so best case scenario is you start it now and have it all ready for this coming autumn. I'm a capricorn. We plan ahead.

I just finished a sweater that has a couple of strands of fingering held together with some lace silky alpaca. I get SO MANY COMMENTS on it. I highly recommend this combo, although TBH, I'd use DK or aran instead of fingering next time. Which is why I've got the lace silky alpaca paired with DK and aran here, in these gorgeous colors. I knit "Zopf" by Midori Hirose, which is amazing. Highly recommend.

Other sweaters I've been eyeing for this combo are "Wednesday Sweater" by PetiteKnit. Alternatively, I've been thinking how stripes just might be the thing, hence the addition of green, because this green and purple are divine together. I like "$5 in Paris" by Anna Maliszewski, under the theory that wider stripes won't make me look so...wide.

So sweaters! It's January, but get ready for fall! 😉
