Note from Sundara...this color ended up reminding me a lot of honeydew melon, which is such a delicious, juicy melon. But you know, I remained true to my vision and used the beach glass photo. Because it is also very pretty and beach glassy.
But let's talk about why you should knit with this absolutely lovely yarn base. Or why you should knit lace in general. I mean, silk, for one. The shimmer and shine. And two, lace is gorgeous. So pretty! But I know, it's a pain in the ass. What I do, and what I suggest you do is pick a ridiculous project (I'm currently in love with Hazelnoot by Susanne Visch) and knit 1 row a day. In a year, or maybe two, you'll have a GORGEOUS project that will last a life time and it won't even feel like you have put any effort into it.
Or, another way I've gone about knitting lace projects is I paired up with a knitting buddy (mine was the infamous Grumperina, but you don't need to find someone so illustrious) and pick a project you both like. You each pick yarn you want for the project, but you knit the project for your knitting buddy with their yarn, and your knitting buddy knits the project for you with your yarn. Then, you've knit something for a friend and you've had someone knit you. It's win-win. Just make sure to go slow and make sure you both are keeping to the same rate. Take breaks, and don't pressure each other. I think it took Grumperina and me at least a year because I was the slow one. I won't tell you how long ago it was (So long ago. I'm so old.) but I still have that lace shawl and cherish it.
So there you have it. Ways to make knitting lace bearable.
"Beach Glass" will not be dyed again. 1 batch available.
