Fjorded

Note from Sundara...I haven't dyed a lot of silky mohair in, well, it feels like years, because a lot of you (and me) can't abide it against your skin, so I've gone with silky alpaca. But I thought I'd mix it up and you know what, if even if you can't abide mohair against your skin, maybe find someone to knit this for? Because I'd really forgotten just how gorgeously fantastic this yarn is. For one, SO FLUFFY. But also, SO SHINY. Like shiny in a way none of the other yarns are. Even the mohair is shiny. And the silk core. Good Lord. Just sparkles.

And then the color. I realize this isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it's like fairy dust and unicorn sprinkles inspired by some snow and ice princess. It's so pretty, but not five-year old girl fairies and princesses, it's like, I'm in my fifties and I'd totally wear this and not feel weird about it. Those bits of purples and grapes went deeper and darker and give it a sophisticated edge. I'm almost tempted to just, you know, suck it up and suffer through the itchiness of mohair. It's that good.

"Fjorded" will not be dyed again.
