Note from Sundara...my sister came over the week after Christmas and informed us that the stores already had Valentine's Day paraphernalia up for display. Which had us all up in arms. Because it wasn't even New Years! How could they already be pushing Valentine's Day on us? But the more I thought about it, the more it actually made sense FOR YARN PEOPLE. Because you know, if you want to wear something Valentine's inspired come the week of February 14th, you better get knitting.

So I dyed up some reds and pinks. All super Valentines-y. Like cupid puked all over yarn. It's glorious.

And I put a lot of thought into it. Here's what I was thinking:

If you are looking for a gradient, go with the "solid light pink", the red, and the dark red. It'll be fabulous.

If you are looking to make something with a pattern and want pink, go with the "solid light pink" (I had a lacy scarf in mind).

If you want something red for your traditional Valentine's day red roses color, obviously go with the red. Or the dark red. They both work.

Or, if you want something that bridges the gap of all the Valentines colors because you can't decide and you don't know what you are going to make, go with the "somewhat solid pink" because that'll work for lots of things and has a little something-something going on within the range of pinks. You know. Light pink and slightly lighter pink. It's excitement!

But go forth and be filled with the love-fest of Valentine's holiday spirit. Even though it's only January.

"Valentine" will not be dyed again. All yarn is ready to ship and will go out Friday (or as soon as you order it) so you can get busy on whatever you decide to make. Updated: 1 skein left of the red and 2 skeins left somewhat solid pink.
