Compassion aran silky merino

This is the time of year, when if you've made a new years resolution, you probably have faltered or are finding it harder and harder to stick with your goals. It's easy to be hard on yourself because you aren't as perfect as you wish you could be.

My resolution for this year is to loose some of the weight I gained when I had a baby 2 years ago. I was always a thin person, so to be heavy has been a different challenge for me. I find myself listening to the negative voices in my head. Telling me I'm not good enough.  That I need to try harder. That I'm fat and nobody could possibly love me this way.

But much quieter, almost being drowned out by the negativity, is a small voice telling me that I can do this. That I can achieve my goals and be the version of myself that I want to be. The voice tells me to be kind to myself.  To have a bit of Compassion.

Since I work with color, I thought I'd look into what is called "color therapy". I found that colors have different vibrations, or wave lengths, and that these different vibrations can manifest themselves in different feelings.

So, I used what I learned and created a color I call "Compassion". It is my small effort to help myself hear that voice a little better. And you know what?  It actually works! It worked so well, that I was inspired to design a cowl to work specifically with this color.

It's a beautiful little lace and cable design that is fun to knit. Best of all, when you wear it, the Compassion vibrations sit right next to your head and heart and help make it easier to hear the positive, loving voices within you. 

This color has helped me be kinder to myself and I am offering it up to you in the hope that if you are also in need of some Compassion, and let's face it, who doesn't in this day and age, that this Compassion color will help you be a bit kinder to yourself too.
