So, what exactly is the Luxury Collection?

The Sundara Yarn Luxury Collection is a 8 month subscription-based yarn club with 3 mailings of yarn. Every three months, you receive a fun package of Sundara Yarn plus a list of 10 pattern ideas that will work with the gauge and yardage of the yarn you receive so it is easy for you to choose what do knit with the yarn.

Sundara Yarn you love in TWO NEW yarn bases.

Your FIRST package, sent at the beginning of December 2012, will include 1 skein of our classic Sundara Yarn Fingering Merino Cashmere. This yarn is hard for us to get on a regular basis, so this is a FANTASTIC opportunity for you to get some of this divinely durable yarn that is perfect for socks, shawls, and other small accessory patterns. You will love the feeling of the merino and cashmere running through your fingers when you knit this yarn.

Your SECOND package, sent at the beginning of March 2013, will include 2 skeins of Sundara Yarn Fingering Silky Cashmere. This is a NEW yarn base that is identical to our Sport Silky Cashmere, just at a fingering gauge. This yarn couldn’t be softer or more luscious and at this new gauge, you’ll have even more project opportunities to knit with a scrumptious cashmere and silk blend.

Your THIRD package, sent at the beginning of June 2013, will include 2 skeins of Sundara Yarn sport silky merino. This is another new yarn base that is identical to our beloved fingering silky merino, just at a sport gauge. The yarn is soft and radiant and you’ll be in knitting bliss with this new alternative to our most popular yarn base.

You choose the colors.

Worried you won’t like the colors? We’ve got you covered.

Each mailing will have a new featured color that was created by Sundara for the club. This new color will be offered on the website as one of the new Sundara Yarn colors the month after you receive your package.

But, before we send your Luxury Collection package, we’ll send you a link to get a verbal description of the color, plus 3 other vintage Sundara Yarn color options.

If you don’t like the new color, you can choose one of the 3 other color options. This practically guarantees that the yarn will be a color you love.

What about patterns?

The last Luxury Collection included patterns, why aren’t there included patterns this time?

These two new yarn bases, the Fingering Silky Cashmere and the Sport Silky Merino are so new, we’ve only been able to get mill samples. We wanted to include these two yarns in the club, but were not able to get enough of the yarn in time for designers to work on projects.

But, we know how much easier it is to have a project picked out for the yarn before you get it. Sundara will pick 10 easily available patterns that you can choose from. This way, there will be a variety of project types that work for the gauge and yardage of the yarn. We thought giving you some project ideas was a nice way to give you even more choice.

You'll have 3 finished projects and no stashed yarn.

One of the great tragedies of being a knitter is that there are so many great projects to knit and not enough time to knit them all.

These three mailings are all relatively smaller quantities of yarn that will knit up quickly. With 3 months between mailings, you can easily finish knitting the yarn before your next package arrives. You’ll have a completed project and no net gain to your yarn stash. Wouldn’t that feel fantastic?

And, with 10 pattern ideas specifically chosen for the yarn you receive, you’ll quickly and easily be able to cast on without the hassle of spending hours trying to find the perfect project.

What if you decide you want more yarn than the yarn club provides? Easy! You can subscribe a second or even a third time. We’ll match all your yarn from all your subscriptions and ship them together. You’ll have more yarn for bigger projects without the hassle of mismatched skeins.

And, when the subscription is complete after May of 2013, we’ll send you a shipping refund for the amount you “overpaid” in shipping costs. I.E. we’ll take the total amount you paid in shipping for each subscription, subtract the total amount your packages cost to mail and refund you the difference.

Buying this much luxury yarn isn’t cheap. We heard from a lot of you that the monthly cost of our last yarn club was out of reach.

We know you want to join, so to make it more affordable, we’ve extended the time frame of the club to eight months, spreading the cost out and making it even easier on your bank account.

Our yarn club members tell us that their biggest fear when signing up for a yarn club is that they won’t like the color. Even though we are offering you FOUR different color options for each mailing, we want you to LOVE the color of your yarn.

If for any reason whatsoever you decide the yarn or color isn’t right for you, you have 90 days to return the yarn for a full refund (minus shipping costs). We want you to have a risk-free yarn club experience!

How much does it cost and what do I get again?

ONE skein of Fingering Merino Cashmere is $42/skein. Each skein is 500 yards and 150 grams of 70% superwash merino, 20% cashmere and 10% nylon. 7-9 stitches per inch. TWO skeins of Fingering Silky Cashmere is $140 at $70/skein. Each skein is 420 yards and 100 grams of 65% white cashmere and 35% silk. 7-9 stitches per inch. TWO skeins of Sport Silky Merino is $100 at $50/skein. Each skein is 415 yards and 150 grams of 50% silk and 50% merino. 5-6 stitches per inch.

The total cost of the yarn you will receive is $282.

Shipping in the US is a flat rate of $7.00 a package via USPS priority mail.

TOTAL COST FOR SHIPPING IN THE US: For 3 packages it is $21.00(shipping) + $282.00 (yarn) = $303 divided by 8 monthly payments which is $37.87/month.

Shipping to Canada is a flat rate of $25 a package via USPS global priority mail.

TOTAL COST FOR SHIPPING TO CANADA: For 3 packages it is $75 (shipping) +$282.00 (yarn) = $357 divided by 8 monthly payments which is $44.62/month.

Shipping International is a flat rate of $37 a package via USPS global priority mail.

TOTAL COST FOR SHIPPING INTERNATIONAL: For 3 packages it is $111 (shipping) +$282 (yarn) = $393.00 divided by 8 monthly payments which is $49.12/month.

When will I be charged?
You'll be charged by Paypal when you first sign up, and then once a month for the next 7 months, so October, November and December of 2012 and January, February, March, April and May of 2013.

The Fine Print

All subscriptions are paid through PayPal and you will need a PayPal account to subscribe.

Collections only include the yarn specified.

If your monthly charge is denied and PayPal cancels your subscription, you must contact us to re-activate your subscription or you will receive no further mailings. Or, if for any other reason, your subscription is cancelled through PayPal, you must contact us to re-activate your subscription or you will receive no further mailings.

If your subscription is cancelled for any reason, all payments are non-refundable.

Shipping

Yarn will ship on or around the 3rd of the month

Shipping charges are included in the monthly payment. Shipping is via USPS Priority Mail or USPS Global Priority Mail. Shipping labels are not generated through PayPal, so you will not receive an email containing tracking information.

Your packages will be shipped to the address provided by PayPal at the time you subscribe to the Collection. Please email us at hello@sundarayarn.com if you need to change your address.

We are not responsible for lost or returned packages due to incorrectly provided addresses. If your package is returned to us due to an incorrectly provided address, we will charge you a second shipping payment before resending.

Please allow up to 2 weeks for packages to be delivered within the US, 4 weeks for packages to Canada and 6 weeks for International packages.

Collection yarn may be returned within 90 days upon receipt of the package. All yarn must be in original condition and have the label attached and cannot be returned if it is a skein that has been wound into a ball or has been knit.
